- The first step is to microchip your pet with a 15 digit ISO compliant pet microchip.
- All pets must have proof of the current rabies vaccination minimum 30 days prior to entering the country.
- Two copies of the Veterinary Certificate for Bangladesh must be completed by a licensed veterinarian.
- If your pet is arriving with you as checked baggage, a No Objection Certificate must be obtained from the Department of Livestock Services and permission from the Office of the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports.
- If your pet is arriving as air cargo, then, in addition to the NOC, prior permission from Customs must be obtained and you will need a clearing agent to customs clear your pet.
- Pets must enter or depart from Bangladesh as checked baggage or air cargo at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
- Pets may be subject to 21 days of home quarantine when entering Bangladesh.
- All domestic dogs and cats must be free of evidence of disease communicable to humans when examined at the entry airport.
- Bangladesh does not publish a list of banned breeds.
